Watching The Political Landscape

Lanier Republican Assembly

Together, We Build Influence That Lasts.

Power · Focus · Support

Welcome

The Lanier Republican Assembly (LRA), a chapter of the Georgia Republican Assembly, exists to strengthen principled conservative influence across our local communities. This introductory page outlines our three core strategies — Power, Focus, and Support — which guide everything we do.

  1. Power — Growing Membership and Influence

Building influence begins with people. The more committed members we have, the stronger our collective voice becomes.

Membership Growth

  • Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date membership records
  • Review each applicant through the LRA board
  • Keep alignment with GRA membership processes

Fundraising Strength

  • Host events that build both visibility and resources
  • Partner with like‑minded businesses
  • Encourage member‑led fundraising ideas

Every new member strengthens our impact. Every dollar raised expands our reach.

  1. Focus — Directing Efforts Strategically

Growth gives us strength; focus gives us direction. We track local offices, election cycles, and opportunities where our influence matters most.

Local Office Mapping

Across Banks, Gwinnett, Hall, Habersham, Jackson, Lumpkin and White counties,

we identify:

  • Cities and local jurisdictions
  • Elected officials
  • Term timelines and election dates

Information We Track

  • Office title
  • Incumbent
  • Next primary
  • Next election

Example Record:

County: Jackson, City: Jefferson, Office: Mayor
Incumbent: Jon Howell, Next Election: November 4, 2025
Candidate: Dawn Maddox

This information forms the strategic map that guides our action.

  1. Support — Backing Conservative Candidates

Once we understand the landscape and build organizational strength, we put that influence into action.

Two Levels of Support

  1. Primaries: Support grassroots conservative candidates who reflect our values
  2. General Elections: Unite behind the Republican or conservative candidate on the ballot

Statewide Races

Even when a race isn’t local to your district, you can:

  • Encourage turnout
  • Share candidate information
  • Send reminders to fellow members

Small, consistent actions create momentum that shapes our state and nation.

Putting It All Together

Our strategy is simple and unified:

  • Power: Grow membership and fundraising
  • Focus: Understand local offices and election timelines
  • Support: Stand behind conservative candidates

Together, these steps will make the LRA more organized, respected, and effective.
We’re not just here to meet — we’re here to make a difference.
